Burnt out car located as investigation into woman’s disappearance continue – Tamworth

Police who are investigating the disappearance of a woman from Tamworth have located a burned out car on the Oxley Highway.

Johann Morgan was last seen by her family at her West Tamworth home on Saturday August 8, 2015.

A car Ms Morgan had access to at the time she disappeared – a white Mitsubishi wagon – was found burnt out on the Oxley Highway. The vehicle was forensically examined.

Family of Ms Morgan have exhausted all avenues to locate her before reporting her missing to Tamworth Police who have now launched an investigation.

Oxley Local Area Command Crime Manager Inspector Phil O’Reilly said grave concerns continued to be held for her welfare.

“Investigations have revealed Ms Morgan left home without her wallet and mobile phone, and has not accessed her bank accounts since her disappearance,” Detective Inspector O’Reilly said.

Ms Morgan is described as being 40-years of age, about 165cm tall with black hair and a medium build.
