A man wanted on seven warrants will face court after he was arrested at a home near Lake Macquarie.

After receiving information, officers attached to the Lake Macquarie Special Operations Group attended a house on Merriwa Street, Booragul, about 6pm yesterday (Thursday 20 August 2015).

Once at the location they arrested a 38-year-old man in relation to seven outstanding warrants.

He was taken to Toronto Police Station where he was charged with seven outstanding warrants, two counts of break, enter & steal and stealing a motor vehicle.

The man was refused bail will appear in Newcastle Local Court on Friday the 21 August 2015.
