Women charged after arrest at Bondi home

Two women have been arrested at the scene of a council clean-up in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs this morning.

The women, aged 38 and 45, were arrested by police from Eastern Suburbs Local Area Command about 7am today (Tuesday 21 July 2015), in the yard of a home in Boonara Avenue.

Police will allege the women breached a Land and Environment Court order, which allowed Waverley Council to clean up the site.

The 45-year-old woman was taken to Waverley Police Station where she was charged with wilfully obstruct listed officer in exercise of functions under the Local Government Act, and resist arrest.

The 38-year-old woman was issued with a Field Court Attendance Notice for the offence of wilfully obstruct listed officer in exercise of functions under the Local Government Act.

Both women are due to appear in Waverley Local Court on Wednesday 12 August 2015.
