Two charged after replica pistol and balaclava seized in vehicle stop – Goulburn

A man and woman will face court today after police seized a replica pistol, balaclava, and other items during a vehicle stop in Goulburn yesterday.

About 5.30pm (Saturday 9 May 2015), police from The Hume Local Area Command stopped a blue
Ford Falcon sedan on Verner Street, Goulburn.

During a search of the vehicle, police allegedly located a replica pistol, a balaclava, and other items.

The items were seized and will undergo forensic examinations.

The driver, a 41-year-old Goulburn man, and passenger, a 19-year-old Goulburn woman, were arrested and taken to Goulburn Police Station.

The driver was charged with possess unauthorised firearm, and possess means of disguising face with intent to commit serious indictable offence.

The passenger was charged with possess unauthorised firearm, possess means of disguising face with intent to commit serious indictable offence, and goods in custody.

They were refused bail and are due to appear at Goulburn Local Court today (Sunday 10 May 2015).
