Bandidos member charged after alleged aggravated break-in near Lake Macquarie

A member of the Bandidos outlaw motorcycle gang (OMCG) will appear in court following an alleged aggravated break-in at Fishing Point near Lake Macquarie yesterday.

About 2.30pm (Wednesday 7 January 2015), two men allegedly broke the front door and entered a home on Sealand Parade, Fishing Point.

They allegedly stole a number of items including; watches, alcohol and cash before leaving in a silver Audi sedan.

Police were called and Lake Macquarie Local Area Command attended commencing an investigation.

Inquiries lead officers to a home on Lakeview Close, Teralba, where they located a silver Audi sedan and a man entering the car.

The 21-year-old man was arrested and the car was searched.

Investigators will allege they located property from the Fishing Point home and over 180 grams of cannabis in the Audi.

The man was taken to Charlestown Police Station and charged with aggravated break and enter (in company), possess prohibited drug, supply prohibited drug and owner not disclose identity of driver/passenger.

He was given strict conditional bail to appear at Belmont Local Court on Wednesday 28 January 2015.

Investigations into the incident are continuing and officers are appealing for anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
