NSW Police Commissioner joins charity ride from Engadine to Bondi

The NSW Police Commissioner Andrew  Scipione will join a charity motorbike ride from Engadine through to the finish at Bondi today.

The ride raises awareness of depression along with mental health services around the country.

Riding commenced in Bateau Bay on Saturday 26 July 2014 and will finish in Bondi about 3.30pm on Tuesday 26 August 2014.

By then, participants will have ridden approximately 14,500km, the entire circumference of Australia.

NSW Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione said this is a wonderful initiative and a tremendous effort by all those involved.

“The funds raised will greatly assist Lifeline Australia and Mental Health First Aid,” Commissioner Scipione said.

“I look forward to meeting up with the riders in Engadine and it is my honour and privilege to lead more than 55 riders in their last leg of the ride into Bondi,” he said.
