After entertaining country music fans across the United Kingdom and Europe since 2013, TEG Live and AEG Presents are proud to present the inaugural Country to Country (C2C) Australia at Sydney Qudos Bank Arena on Saturday 28 September 2019 and Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Sunday 29 September 2019, headlined by superstar Tim McGraw.

Also appearing at the very first C2C Australia will be the hugely popular Kelsea Ballerini, along with Midland, and many more international and local artists to be announced.

Presale tickets will be available via Telstra Thanks® from 10am (local), Wednesday 14 November and the general public on sale commences from 12 noon (local), Friday 16 November through Ticketek.

C2C Australia will be 10 hours of country music, spanning multiple stages including the Main Stage, the C2C Spotlight Stage and the Town Square, and showcasing the best in country music as well as emerging talent from the United States and Australia. The festival will also feature an array of attractions and great food options for passionate country music fans.

C2C made its debut at the O2 Arena in London in 2013 and has now become an annual staple on the UK festival calendar with tens of thousands of fans attending each year to enjoy some of the very best of country music. In 2015, C2C went into mainland Europe for the first time with shows in Sweden and Norway. In 2019, C2C will debut in both the Netherlands and Germany, and now this annual country music festival is coming to Australia for the very first time in September 2019.

Tim McGraw has sold more than 50 million records and dominated the charts with 43 worldwide #1 singles. He’s won 3 Grammy Awards, 16 Academy of Country Music Awards, 14 Country Music Association Awards, 11 American Music Awards, 3 People’s Choice Awards and numerous other honours. His iconic career achievements include being named the BDS Radio’s Most Played Artist of the Decade for all music genres and having the Most Played Song of the Decade for all music genres.

He is the most played country artist since his debut in 1992, with two singles spending over 10 weeks at #1. His career-long tour successes include the record-setting Soul2Soul The World Tour 2017 with his wife, Faith Hill. McGraw starred in and narrated the hit movie, The Shack, as well as played leading roles in Friday Night Lights and The Blind Side. McGraw recently released two news songs ‘NEON CHURCH’ and ‘Thought About You’, his first new solo music in two years. Tim McGraw was last in Australian in 2012 when he headlined CMC Rocks together with his wife Faith Hill and sold out multiple arenas in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

Kelsea Ballerini has emerged in the last three years as one of the biggest names in country music. Ballerini released her debut album ‘The First Time’ in 2015, since then she has received a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist, banked three consecutive No. 1 songs (a record, as she’s the only female Country artist to have done so from a debut), toured across the US and around the world, and nurtured a growing reputation as one of Nashville’s sharpest writers. She has played and toured with artists such as Alan Jackson, Lady Antebellum, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban, and headlining her own tour, in addition to winning scores of accolades including an ACM Award, a Billboard “Rising Star” Award and an ACCA for Breakthrough Female of the Year. Kelsea Ballerini headlined CMC Rocks in 2018.

Midland. Hailing from Dripping Springs, TX lead vocalist Mark Wystrach fronts Midland’s rich sound that is rounded out with lead guitarist Jess Carson and bass player Cameron Duddy. Rooted in tradition in both sound and style the trio initially garnered attention playing clubs in the region. Their critically acclaimed freshman album, “On the Rocks” (Big Machine Records), features 13 tracks with song writing credits from each member alongside hitmakers Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne. Launching to rave reviews from notable outlets such as the Los Angeles Times and Rolling Stone Country, “On the Rocks” was declared “the year’s best Country album” by Washington Post. The Dann Huff produced album earned the No. 1 position on Billboard’s Top Country Album Sales chart upon release. Their debut No. 1 single “Drinkin’ Problem,” which offers an intentional nod to Country music reminiscent of the 1970s and 80s, earned the band their first Grammy Awards nominations for Best Country Song and Best Country Duo/Group Performance. Midland was also named New Vocal Group of the Year at the 2018 ACM Awards and are nominated for three CMA Awards including Vocal Group of the Year, Single of the Year for “Drinkin’ Problem” and New Artist of the Year. This year Country Radio Broadcasters voted the trio as one of the esteemed 2018 CRS New Faces. This will be the very first time Midland tour Australia.

Further exciting line-up announcements will be made soon. Check the website for updates: https://www.c2c-countrytocountry.com.au/

Hyte will take place on Monday December 31st at Funkhaus Berlin. The techno grandmaster and Mute Records artist completes the line up around previously announced headliners Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer, Pan-Pot, Amelie Lens und Stephan Bodzin.

Chris Liebing, the German stalwart, who has been a firm fixture in the global techno scene for the better part of 25 years, will return to the famous Berlin HYTE event for the fifth year running. The 10-track album, released via Mute in early September, sees the Frankfurt-based artist explore more experimental pursuits.

The event will take place at the so-called Shedhalle, a one of a kind warehouse with very rough but beautiful aesthetics, which is part of the Funkhaus complex.

Staying true to their extended party roots, HYTE will once again put clubbers’ stamina to the test, offering them a 24-hour marathon on NYE and NYE to remember. To ring in the New Year in style, HYTE will kick off as early as 18:00 on Monday, December, 31st and won’t pull the plug until 18:00, Tuesday, January, 1st 2019.

SYDNEY IRISH FESTIVAL ANNOUNCEMENT 10 + 11 NOVEMBER – SYDNEY SHOWGROUND

With a little over three weeks to go until the 2018 Sydney Irish Festival opens the gates, organisers have today announced performance times and more around the ground action, as well as confirmation that the Wild Geese Trophy, the first fully sanctioned, full format hurling match played outside Ireland will be broadcast live around the world on FOX SPORTS.

The Wild Geese Trophy between 2018 National Hurling League victors Kilkenny and 2017 All Ireland champions and archrivals, Galway, will take place on the final day of the 2018 Sydney Irish Festival over 10 and 11 November 2018 at Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park.

Described as “the Riverdance of sport” and a “warrior game with ancient links to Irish history”, hurling has been played for more than 3,000 years and is one of Ireland’s native Gaelic games. Widely considered to be the fastest game on grass, the game consists of two teams of 15 trying to drive a ball down the field with a stick in order to score against each other. Without a doubt, it is one of the fastest, and most high scoring sports played today and is a colourful mix of skill, stamina and bravery.

The design of the Wild Geese Trophy was inspired by the Catalpa Wild Geese Memorial, situated on the beach at Rockingham, Western Australia, from where six Irish Fenian political prisoners were rescued by the American whaler: The Catalpa, in 1876, and followed their leader John Boyle O’Reilly, to Massachusetts. See here for more background and a hi res picture of the trophy.

Micheál Donoghue, Galway senior hurling team manager, said: “This is a great opportunity to get a really high quality game at what would normally be a quiet time of year. Matches against Kilkenny are invaluable because you know that a Brian Cody coached team will be giving it everything and we will approach it exactly the same way in Sydney. We are looking forward to what promises to be a great occasion.”

The 2018 Sydney Irish Festival is a celebration of all things Irish showcasing traditional Irish dance and music with hurling clinics, market stalls, comedy, face painting, marching bands, buskers, amusement rides, player autograph sessions, and plenty of family friendly activities right across the weekend.

On top of the huge variety of around the ground attractions, the Sydney Irish Festival will include musical performances from some of the Emerald Isle’s musical treasures including Damien Dempsey, Mary Black, Lúnasa and Saint Sister, as well as local Irish outfits Hooper & O’Toole, The Irish Rogues and Irish Hooley on Saturday, 10 November.

Set to enthrall our littlest páistí over at the Davis Amphitheatre Family Stage, Nickelodeon’s PAW Patrol Show featuring rescue pups, Chase and Marshall and those mischievous yellow twins, B1 and B2 – the Bananas in Pyjamas, will each be performing three shows on Saturday, 10 November.

Playing and performance times are below, and a venue map can be downloaded from here.

Day two on Sunday, 11 November commences with a myriad of family friendly activities and more live music, as well as a curtain raiser match between NSW and Victoria commencing at 1.30pm, before the pre-game welcome parade of the teams into the stadium commences at 3.00pm with the teams taking the field for the Wild Geese Trophy tip-off at 3.30pm.

Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) and Paul Sergeant Events (PSE) are thrilled to announce that the full Wild Geese Trophy match on Sunday, 11 November will be shown in Australia on FOX SPORTS More (Foxtel Channel 507*) commencing at 3.30pm AEDT and throughout Asia on FOX Sports Asia and RTE into Ireland (check local guides for details).

FOX SPORTS is committed to bringing a wide variety of sports from around the globe to the homes of Australian sports fans and their support of niche and emerging sports is second to none. Their commitment to the Wild Geese Trophy compliments an already strong suite of emerging sports in November including hockey, gymnastics and lawn bowls. FOX SPORTS is available on Foxtel.

Ahead of the Sydney Irish Festival, the official Business Function will be held at Dockside, Cockle Bay Wharf at midday on Friday, 9 November. Tickets include a three course lunch, beverage package and first class entertainment including RTE Sport’s own Marty Morrissey as MC, a preview of the 2018 Wild Geese Trophy with both team Managers, Brian Cody (Kilkenny) and Micheál Donoghue (Galway), as well as Irish sporting legends Sonia O’Sullivan and Tadhg Kennelly. FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE ANNOUNCE DEBUT ARENA DATES FOR MARCH 2019 – WITH SPECIAL GUESTS THOMAS RHETT & MORGAN WALLEN

Multi-platinum superstar duo FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE announce a string of highly anticipated all-ages arena shows for March 2019, which will take them to the Cairns Convention Centre on Friday 15 March, Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on Monday 18 March, and Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Wednesday 20 March.

No strangers to huge audiences, FGL’s Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley have played to sold-out stadiums across North America, and are slated to headline the sold-out CMC Rocks QLD 2019 event, Australia’s biggest country music festival. After a scorching debut Rocks appearance in 2016, the award-winning duo have taken the world by storm. Their genre-defying sound is top-shelf, making for an explosive live experience. “Just in case you’ve forgotten, Florida Georgia Line is one of the hottest country acts alive”, said MusicRow Magazine.

As the first country act ever to be Diamond certified (10 million copies sold) with their 11x Platinum breakout ‘Cruise’, FGL are a crossover phenomenon, collaborating with Bebe Rexha on this year’s global chart-topper ‘Meant To Be’, featuring on Hailee Steinfeld and Alesso’s ‘Let Me Go’, plus collaborations with The Chainsmokers on ‘Last Day Alive’, The Backstreet Boys with ‘God, Your Mama, And Me’, Ziggy Marley, Tim McGraw, Nelly, and countless others.

Over the past 6-years, the global entertainers have received honours from the AMAs, ACM Awards, CMA Awards, Billboard Music Awards and CMT Music Awards, surpassed 31 million tracks and more than 4.3 million albums sold while launching entrepreneurial endeavours including their Old Camp whiskey, FGL HOUSE restaurant, Tree Vibez Music publishing company, Tribe Kelley and meet + greet.

“a potent brew of fist-pumping backwoods attitude and gutsy crossover ambition” – Rolling Stone

“The duo’s energy was only matched by near-nuclear heat given back to them.”
– Taste of Country

In Sydney and Melbourne, FGL will bring fellow Statesider THOMAS RHETT along for the ride. One of the hottest stars on the global country scene, Rhett is a platinum-selling chart-topper who has eight No.1 US country hits to his name, and an eclectic catalogue that blends the southern swagger of country music with pop hooks, R&B grooves, soulful strut and the anything-goes attitude of rock. Rhett has played alongside FGL many times, notably opening their 2015 tour Anything Goes.

US hit-maker MORGAN WALLEN also joins the dynamic line-up for all shows. One of country music’s most exciting up and comers, Wallen previously toured with FGL on their Dig Your Roots Tour and collaborated with the duo on the Platinum-certified smash ‘Up Down’, an irresistible thumper that topped the US Country charts. His anticipated follow-up ‘Whiskey Glasses’ is currently climbing the Country radio charts and he’s logged more than 330 million combined digital streams to date.

With a line-up of country powerhouses, these shows promise to be a hit for music-lovers of all ages. Experience the very best that country music has to offer, when Florida Georgia Line and Thomas Rhett descend on arenas across the East Coast next March!

JON STEVENS TAKES ALL THE HITS OUT ON THE ROAD FOR THE BEST OF JON STEVENS

The Best Of Jon StevensJon Stevens is hitting the road for a Best Of tour, traversing all the hits of his career, from his solo work, right through to Noiseworks, INXS, The Dead Daisies and even Jesus Christ Superstar. With a back catalogue jam-packed with smash hits, and no shortage of great songs to choose from, the revered singer-songwriter is looking forward to reliving the different times of his musical journey, and sharing those experiences with audiences. Hot off the heels of his latest release, Starlight, which received international acclaimed after its release last year, Jon has picked 2018 as the time to embark on the tour that fans have been asking him to do for years.

“After doing back-to-back albums – WOMAN in 2015 – and then Starlight in 2017, and touring those albums, I played a few of the older songs on those tours, but it was pretty much all new material,” says Jon. “Fans are always asking me to play certain songs that I haven’t done in years, so here we are in 2018 and it just feels like the right time to explore my back catalogue. It’s interesting for me as I always try to keep moving forward, always adding something new, but I have to say that dusting off some of the old tunes has been nothing short of a revelation. While I can’t play every song, as there are way too many, I have chosen my favourites and I think fans will love it.”

With songs like Welcome To The World, Lock N Load, RIP Millie, Don’t Change and Superstar , to name a few included in the setlist, the show is guaranteed to delight. While Jon has been working on the setlist over the festive break, ready to hit the road, he acknowledges that once the tour starts, it will no doubt be a work in progress. “It’s been really difficult as there are so many songs, but I think there we have a good balance,” he says. “But, by the same token, once we start touring I’m sure the fans will have their say in wanting to add to the setlist.”

Jon Stevens hasn’t really stopped working – touring, writing or recording – since he first started out in the industry as a youngster. He already had two #1 singles in New Zealand by the age of 16, and became a household name in Australia as the frontman of Noiseworks in the mid-1980s. Smash singles such as No Lies, Love Somebody, Take Me Back, Touch and In My Youth became staples on Australian airwaves – and still are – and saw Jon and his fellow bandmates tour far and wide. His solo career, and ensuing frontman duties with INXS and The Dead Daisies means that Jon has never rested his on his laurels. The hard-work has paid off though, he is considered one of the country’s premier talents, and understandably so.

For Jon though, it is all about getting out on the road and connecting with fans – the most important part of his job. “My main focus now is getting out and performing all around Australia,” he says. “Time seems to be going by at such a rapid rate and I have missed being on the road in Oz, as I have spent so much time overseas the last couple of years. We are going to play in as many places as possible over the next four months. I also spent January in the studio writing and recording and am well on the way to completing a new album. I will continue to create and experiment and do my very best every time I climb on the stage and share with the fans a moment in time that you only get when you see a performer live.”

LEE KERNAGHAN ANNOUNCES 2018 DATES ON HIS 25TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR BY POPULAR DEMAND, KICKING OFF AT TAMWORTH IN JANUARY

For country icon Lee Kernaghan, 2017 has been a massive year! Celebrating a milestone 25-years in the industry, including the silver anniversary of his debut ARIA-award winning album Outback Club, the Aussie superstar has spent a solid 12-months on the road, playing sold-out shows around the country. The Boys From The Bush 25th Anniversary Tour saw Lee travel perform in some of his favourite regional towns, some huge metropolitan venues and at some of Australia’s key festivals. The 2017 leg of the tour saw an incredible 25 sell-out shows – fitting for a 25th anniversary tour – wrapping up at The Palms at Crown in Melbourne with two packed houses on the weekend (November 17 & 18).

While some may kick their heels up and rest for a bit, that’s never been Lee Kernaghan’s style, so – due to popular demand – Lee is keeping the party going by announcing a swag of dates for 2018 to ensure The Boys From The Bush 25th Anniversary Tour covers as much of Australia as possible. Kicking off the 2018 dates at Tamworth Country Music Festival, the leg will include a host of other festival dates, as well as some more great suburban shows.

The Boys From The Bush tour features Lee’s classic hits, ballads and rural anthems that have won the country legend a nationwide legion of fans that he prefers to call ‘mates’. With 34 number one hits to his credit, the show celebrates Lee’s career, and even more than that – it celebrates the fans who have been there from the beginning – and joined in along the way.

Lee Kernaghan’s Boys From The Bush 25th Anniversary Tour is an unforgettable experience and a part of Australian music history! Book your tickets early and join the celebration of the epic career of one of this country’s all-time greats.
