Second Artists Announced for 2015 Campfire Festival!

Adding more burn to CAMPFIRE FESTIVAL in 2015 is the inclusion of seven further well-respected and award-winning acts. The second lineup of artists confirmed for the 2015 CAMPFIRE FESTIVAL includes:

Shannon Noll / Mental As Anything / Wendy Matthews

The Wolfe Brothers / The Wolverines / Kevin Bennett and The Flood / Christie Lamb

This inaugural CAMPFIRE FESTIVAL now boasts over 18 artists as well as new and emerging acts, as voted by the public, yet to be announced.  HOPE ESTATE winery will play host to the first ever CAMPFIRE FESTIVAL from Friday, 13 March to Sunday, 15 March 2015.

This festival replaces what was CMC Rocks the Hunter and as a new event relies on the support of fans to get behind its introduction.

The second lineup of artists confirmed for the 2015 CAMPFIRE FESTIVAL showcases a topline cast of Australian artists including:

John Butler Trio

Lee Kernaghan / Kasey Chambers

Shannon Noll / Ash Grunwald / Beccy Cole / Mental as Anything

The McClymonts / Wendy Matthews / We Two Thieves

The Wolfe Brothers / The Wolverines / Amber Lawrence / Kevin Bennett and The Flood

The Bob Corbett Band / Chelsea Basham / Greg Champion / Christie Lamb

And more to be announced!

Shannon Noll, a new addition to the festival said, “The first ever Campfire Festival’s going to be a fantastic opportunity for people to see a great showcase of Australian musicians and I’m really excited to be sharing the stage with so many talented people.  It’ll be a top weekend in the Hunter for everyone who comes along”.

CAMPFIRE FESTIVAL’s ethos is to bring people together to spend quality time with family and friends, while having the opportunity to do as much (or as little) as you please, including a new luxury camping option with HOPE ESTATE’s beautiful vineyard setting as the backdrop.

The CAMPFIRE FESTIVAL will host a number of entertainment precincts including the main amphitheatre which will feature two stages – the main stage playing host to a line-up of established Australian stars and a 2nd stage showcasing a mix of emerging and well-known artists.

CAMPFIRE FESTIVAL will also be giving ten musical artists the opportunity to perform on the amphitheatre’s second stage and in the Campfire Zone, to be chosen via an online vote giving up-and-coming performers a chance to shine in front of a big audience.  Further details, terms and conditions of this exciting initiative will be listed on www.campfirefestival.com.au.

Early Bird tickets to the inaugural CAMPFIRE FESTIVAL are available now through Ticketekor the Winery direct on 1800 777 444.  Early Bird tickets provide a discount 3-day ticket for all purchases made on or prior to 1st December 2014.

The CAMPFIRE FESTIVAL is more than just a name – there will be an actual Campfire!  There’s also the FunZone which is sure to keep both the young and young-at-heart entertained as well as the Busker’s Pavilion providing yet another entertainment option along with the opportunity to discover fresh, local talent.

HOPE ESTATE’s Camper’s Bar will host songwriter’s sessions, guitar clinics, Artist Q&A forums and jam sessions each day along with late night entertainment for our campers.

Naturally, with a winery and craft brewery on-site there’ll be plenty to drink and even a craft beer experience available for the connoisseurs.

On site camping is available for up to 5,000 people with standard camping and powered sites available, or why not “glamp it up” in the new 5 Star Lakeside Flashcamp. There will be plenty of showers and toilets available throughout each of the camping zones as well as portable toilets throughout the site and the main buildings.

For those who want the ultimate experience, HOPE ESTATE is providing VIP hospitality packages.  Choose the indulgent Harvest Package on the top floor of the building or the more casual VIP area – both overlook the main arena so you will see and hear everything from these private areas.  Or, perhaps a gourmet hamper for two is more your style so you can just sit, listen and soak up the atmosphere.  For full details of each of the packages available, please go to www.campfirefestival.com.au.

Early Bird Tickets are on sale NOW until 1 December 2014, from Ticketek or Hope Estate.

THE WOLFE BROTHERS BRING THEIR NOTHIN’ BUT TROUBLE TOUR TO THE 2015 TAMWORTH COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL

Country rockers The Wolfe Brothers are thrilled to announce a very special guest for their show at the 2015 Tamworth Country Music Festival. Aussie rock legend and Rose Tattoo front man Angry Anderson will be joining them for their only Tamworth Festival show. After an impromptu performance together at a charity event earlier in 2014, Angry and the boys resolved to join forces again and the festival proved the perfect place for that wish to come to fruition.

In recent months, Nashville heavyweights have been collaborating with their rock n roll counterparts to create an incredible partnership of country-roots-rock. One recent example is former Nirvana drummer and now head Foo Fighter Dave Grohl teaming up with the Zac Brown Band for several memorable performances. Modern country and rock genres seem to effortlessly combine, giving a new vibe to some classic hits. It was only a matter of time before this unique collaboration of rock and country made its way to Australian shores. With The Wolfe Brothers live shows well reputed for their high energy performances, the upcoming Tamworth concert with a bona fide rock legend is guaranteed to be high voltage and unforgettable.

“It’s no secret that we like to rock our country and we’re very excited to have the original bad boy and Aussie rock legend joining us on this one,” says Nick Wolfe. “I think it’ll push some boundaries and challenge some traditional ideals, but hey, that’s just what we do”. With their new album Nothin’ But Trouble riding high in the charts, fans can expect a new re-energised show. “We’ll aim to push our usual 110% energy levels to 120% and make this special event with Angry a night to remember – for us and the audience.”

Like the true champions of country music that they are, The Wolfe Brothers always look forward to catching up with music-lovers at the festival each year. “Tamworth is a special place for all in the Australian country scene,” says Nick. “I think it brings out the best in artists, to see the dedication of fans who’ve travelled country-wide and often return year after year, makes us want to pull a bit extra out of the tank and give them all we can.”

The Wolfe Brothers have experienced an incredible year in 2014. With the release of their second long-player Nothin’ But Trouble their music has been searing up the charts and winning them the hearts of a whole new legion of fans. The album burst onto the ARIA Country Chart at #2 and entered the ARIA mainstream chart at #16. The first single from the new release – That Kinda Night – smashed into #1 position on both country radio and the CMC video charts. It’s no surprise that their latest album was so warmly received by Australian audiences, after all, their debut It’s On rocketed through the charts, firmly cementing the band as one to watch.

The band are the first to point out that they couldn’t have achieved so much if not for the backing of the Australian public. “This past year has been a dream,” says Nick. “From recording and releasing the new album to the countless shows right across the country, we’ve been blessed with the support of our very loyal and dedicated fans. To see our new music being embraced the way it has is astounding, and it only makes us want to work harder and be better at what we do.”

Tamworth Country Music Festival is the start of another big year for The Wolfe Brothers. It kicks off the start of a huge national tour that will take them to all corners of Australia. “We’re gonna play as many places as we can, write the best music we can and keep being ourselves cos that’s what has got us this far,” says Nick.

The Wolfe Brothers have also received two nominations at the 2015 Golden Guitar awards; Group or Duo of the Year and Single of the Year. Don’t miss your chance to be part of country rock history as The Wolfe Brothers and special guest Angry Anderson rock Tamworth Country Music Festival in 2015. Tickets on sale now.

LEO SAYER TAKES HIS GREATEST HITS AND RESTLESS YEARS ON THE ROAD IN 2015!

Grammy Award-winning international superstar, Leo Sayer, today announced details of the Restless Years Tour 2015, his first solo national Australian tour in over four years.

The Restless Years Tour kicks off on 4 February and will take in over 30 theatres across the country with Leo delivering his legendary hit-packed live show as well as launching his latest album, Restless Years, scheduled for release on 23 January 2015.

With over 80 million albums sold worldwide, 25 Top 10 international hits, 5 Top 10 albums and writing credits for the likes of Roger Daltrey, Cliff Richard, Dolly Parton and Tina Turner, Leo Sayer’s career has been one of stellar proportions.

From his first big single, The Show Must Go On, from the hit debut album, Silverbird (1973), Leo Sayer has had a seemingly never ending stream of hits – One Man Band, Long Tall Glasses, Moonlighting, You Make Me Feel Like Dancing, When I Need You, Thunder in My Heart and More Than I Can Say all topped the charts in the 70’s and 80’s.  His most recent UK No. 1 came in 2006 with a remix of Thunder in My Heart, introducing a whole new generation to the magic of Leo Sayer.

With over 40 years of recording and touring the globe behind him, Leo Sayer is showing no signs of slowing down, always living by his motto “The Show Must Go On”.

Leo added, “I’m really excited to be starting 2015 with a big national tour and my new album ‘Restless Years’.  We’ve got a great band and new material, a bunch of classic hits and I’m raring to go. See you soon!”

Leo Sayer’s new album Restless Years, to be released in January, 2015, was recorded in ARIA Award winner, Mitch Cairns’ Little Red Jet Studio and was mixed by the legendary John Hudson of London’s Mayfair Studios who, like Leo, now calls Australia home.

Tickets for the Restless Years Tour go on sale from 10.00am local time, Monday, 24 November 2014 (excluding Seymour Centre, which go on sale on Wednesday, 26 November).

Popular Australian Country Music Singer Tania Kernaghan will be the MC for the evening.

Amber Lawrence has been nominated in two different categories for the 2015 CMAA Golden Guitar Awards

Amber Lawrence has been nominated in two different categories for the 2015 CMAA Golden Guitar Awards, including Toyota Heritage Song of the Year for “The Lifesaver”, and Female Artist of the Year for her album, ‘Superheroes’, released in September through Social Family Records.

When Amber wrote “The Lifesaver”, she wrote it with the love of her late father, a well known Maroubra Beach surf lifesaver, in her mind and heart. She knew it was a special song from the moment it started to come together, and it’s now apparent that the rest of Australia agrees with her, with her nomination for Toyota Heritage Song of the Year.

“I cried when they read out The Lifesaver. This song means everything to me – I am so happy! And Female Artist of the Year is super cool, too!” said Amber Lawrence, following the exciting news.

Always the hard worker not afraid to get out there and just do it, Amber contributes her love of music and life to her mother and father, and is grateful for every opportunity that comes her way, including previous nominations for what has so far been an elusive Golden Guitar for the popular country singer. With the strength of her new album, ‘Superheroes’, and touching tribute to her father with “The Lifesaver”, 2015 could well be Amber Lawrence’s year to shine and take home her first gong.

The CMAA Golden Guitar Nominations Ceremony, hosted by Catherine Britt and Morgan Evans, also saw Amber perform the first single, “Superhero”, from her new album, ‘Superheroes’.

The Tamworth Country Music Festival takes place from January 16th to 25th, 2015, with Amber performing at Blazes on Friday, January 23rd. The Country Music Awards of Australia (The Golden Guitars) will be held at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment and Conference Centre on January 24th.

The album features the melodic and expressive Flute and Clarinet Concertos performed this evening by the Academy’s own Principal Flautist Michael Cox and Principal Clarinettist James Burke.
