Police release CCTV images following armed robbery – Wagga Wagga

Police investigating an armed robbery in Wagga Wagga earlier this week have released CCTV images of two people who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

About 4am on Monday (9 November 2015), two people with their faces covered entered a service station on Bourke Street, Tolland.

Police have been told one of the individuals was armed with a firearm and the other with a knife.

The two people threatened the attendant, stealing cash, cigarettes and drinks before leaving the scene.

It is unknown if they left in a vehicle or on foot.

Detectives from Wagga Wagga Local Area Command are investigating the incident.

They have today (Friday 13 November 2015) released CCTV images of two people who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The people depicted in the images have been described as wearing baseball caps and hooded jumpers, which were pulled up to cover the lower part of their faces.

The attendant was uninjured in the incident.

Body of man recovered from house in Albury

The body of a man has been recovered from the scene of a house fire in Albury.

Around 6.30am today (Friday 13 November 2015), emergency services were called to a house fire on Willowbank Road.

The fire was extinguished and the body of a man was recovered from the home.

Police are now working with Fire & Rescue NSW (FRNSW) fire-fighters to determine the cause of the blaze.

Missing man located in Orange

Police have located a man who was missing from the State’s Southern Tablelands on Sunday.

The man, aged 42, was last seen about 10.45am on Sunday (8 November 2015), in Nichols Street, Goulburn.

His disappearance was reported to police from The Hume Local Area Command, who patrolled the area looking for him; however he could not be located.

Just after 9pm today (Thursday 12 November 2015), inquiries resulted in officers attached to Canobolas Local Area Command locating the man at the back of a home on Adina Crescent, Orange.

He was taken to a nearby hospital for ongoing treatment.

No one was injured during the incident and police thank the public for their assistance.

Police seek man missing from Southern Tablelands

Police are looking for a man who is missing from the State’s Southern Tablelands.

Graham Mailes, 42, was last seen about 10.45am on Sunday (8 November 2015), in Nichols Street, Goulburn.

His disappearance was reported to police from The Hume Local Area Command, who patrolled the area looking for him; however he could not be located.

Unconfirmed reports suggest that Mr Mailes may be heading towards Queensland in an attempt to contact relatives.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 175cm tall, weighing 110kg, with long red frizzy hair and a cleft palette.

When he was last seen, Mr Mailes was wearing denim shorts, a brown polo shirt and lace-up work boots.

Police have concerns for Mr Mailes’ welfare. Members of the community should be warned not to approach him if he is sighted, as he requires daily medication for a medical condition.

Anyone who sights Mr Mailes is urged to contact Triple Zero (000) immediately.
