Police investigate armed robbery – Cardiff

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a supermarket in Cardiff last night.

About 7.40pm (Wednesday 2 September 2015), a man entered the store armed with a shotgun and threatened an attendant, demanding cash.

The attendant complied with the man’s demands and handed over an amount of cash before the man fled. The attendant was not injured during the incident.

The man was last seen entering the passenger side of a white four door sedan in the parking lot before fleeing. The driver of the car was not further described.

Police from Lake Macquarie Local Area Command were notified and established a crime scene.

A search was unable locate the man or car, and officers are now appealing for anyone with information about the robbery or the identity of the man to come forward.

The man is described as being about 190cm tall with a skinny build.

He was last seen wearing a long-sleeve hooded jacket, jeans, and joggers and carrying a gun described as a double-barrel sawed-off shotgun.
