Police are investigating after receiving reports a teenager was assaulted at Tamworth last month.<\/p>\n
Just after 8.30am, Thursday 18 August 2016, a 15-year-old youth was walking through a park near the intersection of Goonoo Goonoo Road and Locks Lane.<\/p>\n
Police have been informed the teen was approached by a male who demanded before punching him to the head causing him to fall to the ground.<\/p>\n
The man ran from the scene and the teen informed police of the incident.<\/p>\n
Police would like to speak to a man they believe may be able to assist with inquiries. He is described as being Aboriginal\/Torres Strait Islander appearance, 18-20 old, about 183cm tall with a thin build. He has long dark messy hair, a nose piercing, a bar piercing in his left ear and studs in the other. He was wearing a white singlet, brown jacket, black jeans and black boots.<\/p>\n
The boy was not injured as a result of the assault.<\/p>\n
