A man will face court today after an alleged aggravated break and enter at Adamstown Heights yesterday (31 August 2016).<\/p>\n
It is alleged that about 7.20pm a man, armed with a large hook, forced his way into the Lexington Parade home.<\/p>\n
Police were told the man threatened two teenage boys, aged 13 and 16 in the home. One of them was able to dial Triple Zero (000) and raise the alarm.<\/p>\n
The man ran from the premises and across a number of rooftops before jumping into into a swimming pool.<\/p>\n
Police from Newcastle City Local Area Command arrested a 26-year-old man.<\/p>\n
He was taken to Newcastle City Police Station and charged with aggravated enter dwelling armed with intent, assault, carry cutting implement, drug possession, larceny and trespassing<\/p>\n
The Raymond Terrace man was refused bail and will appear in Newcastle Local court today.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
