Police are appealing for information following an alleged assault of a 44 year-old man at a hotel in Newcastle.<\/p>\n
About 12.55am today (Sunday 17 July 2016), it is alleged that a man punched another man at a hotel in Beaumont Street, Hamilton, causing him to fall to the ground before allegedly stomping on his head.<\/p>\n
The injured man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics, before being taken to John Hunter Hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n
Officers attached to Newcastle City Local Area Command attended and commenced investigations.<\/p>\n
As part of their investigation, they would like to speak to a man who is believed to have an Irish accent who may be able to assist them.<\/p>\n
