Two teenagers have been charged following an alleged high-speed pursuit towards Goulburn today.<\/p>\n
Just before 6am (Saturday 9 April 2016), police detected a blue Holden Commodore sedan allegedly speeding at 167km\/h in a 110km\/h marked zone on the Hume Highway near Marulan.<\/p>\n
It will be alleged the vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit was initiated, where the Commodore reached speeds of up to 230km\/h.<\/p>\n
At the Goulburn bypass, road spikes were deployed. The vehicle continued for a short distance before stopping.<\/p>\n
Two 17-year-old boys in the vehicle, which is alleged to have been stolen, were arrested at the scene and taken to Goulburn Police Station.<\/p>\n
The Learner driver underwent a breath test analysis, which returned an alleged positive reading of 0.055.<\/p>\n
He has been charged with exceed speed over 45km\/h, Skye\u2019s Law (police pursuit), speed dangerously, and unaccompanied Learner.<\/p>\n
The passenger has been charged with aggravated break and enter and be carried in conveyance without consent of owner.<\/p>\n
