An investigation is underway following the shooting of a man in the state\u2019s Hunter region overnight.<\/p>\n
Emergency services were called to a home on Guyang Street at Corlette just after 10.30pm (Saturday 2 April 2016), where they found a man with gunshot wounds to both thighs.<\/p>\n
The 31-year-old was taken to John Hunter Hospital where he is receiving treatment for suspected broken femurs.<\/p>\n
Detectives from Port Stephens Local Area Command established a crime scene at the home which was examined by specialist forensic officers.<\/p>\n
Investigators are appealing for anyone with information about the incident to come forward.<\/p>\n
