A report will be prepared for the Coroner after a fatal crash south of Tamworth yesterday.<\/p>\n
About 7.30am (Thursday 17 March 2016), a Nissan X-trail was travelling north on Werris Creek Road, south of Tamworth, when it collided with a southbound semi-trailer.<\/p>\n
The 37-year-old driver of the X-trail died at the scene. His two male passengers, both aged 17, were treated at the scene for shock before being taken to Tamworth Hospital.<\/p>\n
The driver of the semi-trailer, a 68-year-old man, was uninjured and was taken to Tamworth Hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests.<\/p>\n
Police from Oxley Local Area Command and Northern Tablelands Crash Investigation Unit attended and conducted inquiries.<\/p>\n
