<\/b>A man has been charged following an alleged domestic-related stabbing at Mayfield East yesterday.<\/p>\n
Just before 12.30pm (Sunday 28 February 2016), officers from Newcastle City Local Area Command were called to a house on Margaret Street following reports that a man had been stabbed.<\/p>\n
A 34-year-old man was found with a puncture wound to his chest.<\/p>\n
He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics and taken to John Hunter Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.<\/p>\n
A 59-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Waratah Police Station and charged with malicious wounding.<\/p>\n
