A 23-year-old man will face court after allegedly driving at 240km\/h in a BWM M5 sedan on the Hume Highway near Goulburn.<\/p>\n
The man, who was denied bail on Wednesday, has been charged with causing a police pursuit, possessing prohibited drugs and resisting arrest.<\/p>\n
According to NSW police, the man was observed driving at 194km\/h and failed to stop for officers attempted to pull him over.<\/p>\n
Police eventually abandoned the pursuit when the car continued to accelerate to around 240km\/h.<\/p>\n
Officers later found the car in Berrimangra with a passenger also inside.<\/p>\n
Police allege the driver attempted to drive away when approached by officers, although the car broke down after 100 metres.<\/p>\n
The man will return to court on February 26.<\/p>\n
