<\/b>A man and woman will face court next month over alleged drug offences following a vehicle stop at Wagga yesterday.<\/p>\n
About 3am (Monday 8 February 2016), police stopped a silver utility on the Sturt Highway and spoke to the driver, a 53-year-old man.<\/p>\n
He was subjected to a roadside breath test which returned a negative result.<\/p>\n
A roadside drug test was also conducted which allegedly returned a positive result.<\/p>\n
The passenger, a 22-year-old woman, was also spoken to, before officers from Wagga Wagga Local Area Command searched the vehicle where they allegedly located 5kg of cannabis, amphetamines and cash.<\/p>\n
The man and the woman were arrested and taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station.<\/p>\n
The 53-year-old man was charged with supply cannabis of a commercial quantity and possess prohibited drug (x2).<\/p>\n
The 22-year-old woman was charged with possess prohibited drug (x2) and possession of equipment for the administration of prohibited drugs.<\/p>\n
Both were granted conditional bail to appear at Wagga Wagga Local Court on 30 March 2016.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
