<\/b>A man has been charged with kidnapping and other offences following a domestic-related incident at Cessnock.<\/p>\n
About 8am yesterday (Friday 27 November 2015), a man forced entry to a home on Maitland Road and confronted a family member, a 77-year-old woman.<\/p>\n
The man allegedly threatened the woman before forcing her into his vehicle and driving to a building in Cessnock.<\/p>\n
He fled the scene and the woman wasn\u2019t injured.<\/p>\n
Police were alerted and officers from Central Hunter Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene at the home.<\/p>\n
Following inquiries, a 48-year-old man was arrested at a home on Harle Street, Abermain, about 2.45pm yesterday.<\/p>\n
He was taken to Cessnock Police Station where he was charged with aggravated break and enter; common assault; intimidation; damage property with intention to endanger life; and kidnapping.<\/p>\n
The local man was bail refused to appear at Maitland Bail Court today (Saturday 28 November 2015).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
