Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery of a service station in Queanbeyan this morning.<\/p>\n
About 4.15am (Monday 23 November 2015), a male armed with a firearm entered a service station on Yass Road and threatened a 32-year-old male employee.<\/p>\n
He fled the scene a short time later, taking cash.<\/p>\n
Officers attached to Monaro Local Area Command were called and established a crime scene.<\/p>\n
A replica firearm was located at the scene, which has been seized for forensic examination.<\/p>\n
As investigations into the incident continue, police would like to speak to anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the vicinity of Yass Road and Endurance Avenue about 4.15am this morning.<\/p>\n
The male in the incident is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall, of slim build, with long blond hair.<\/p>\n
