<\/b>Police are appealing for public assistance after a male was located seriously injured in Newcastle yesterday.<\/p>\n
About 3pm (Wednesday 11 November 2015), police located a 51-year-old man lying on Parkway Avenue, near the intersection with Smith Street, in Hamilton South.<\/p>\n
The male was found to have numerous serious injuries, including to his head and neck.<\/p>\n
The man was taken to John Hunter Hospital where he remains in a stable condition in intensive care.<\/p>\n
Police from Newcastle Local Area Command are trying to determine what caused the man\u2019s injuries.<\/p>\n
Investigators are yet to locate anyone who witnessed the incident, and are appealing for anyone with any information to come forward.<\/p>\n
