<\/b>A report will be prepared for the Coroner after a fatal motorcycle crash which occurred in the state\u2019s New England region this afternoon.<\/p>\n
About 1.30pm (Thursday 5 November 2015), a female motorcyclist was travelling west on Waterfall Way, Ebor, about 50km east of Armidale, when investigations suggest she stopped to pick something up from the roadway.<\/p>\n
While crossing the road the woman was hit by another motorcycle, also being ridden by a female.<\/p>\n
As a result of the collision, the rider of the second motorcycle received fatal injuries and died at the scene.<\/p>\n
The woman who was crossing the road received serious injuries, including leg fractures, and has been airlifted to Tamworth Hospital.<\/p>\n
Waterfall Way is closed in both directions whilst investigations continue. Local diversions are in place.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
