<\/b>Police are investigating after a large building fire in the state\u2019s southern tablelands yesterday.<\/p>\n
About 3.40pm (Wednesday 4 November 2015), emergency services were called to Mundy Street, Goulburn, where they found a building well alight.<\/p>\n
The building, a former orphanage, is abandoned and no-one was inside at the time.<\/p>\n
Fire & Rescue NSW crews extinguished the blaze.<\/p>\n
Officers from The Hume Local Area Command attended and commenced inquiries.<\/p>\n
A number of smaller buildings and halls around the main building were not damaged.<\/p>\n
Detectives from The Hume Local Area Command are continuing their investigations into the cause of the fire.<\/p>\n
