<\/b>Police are appealing for information after a shoplifting incident near Newcastle last month.<\/p>\n
About 10am on 25 September 2015, two people \u2013 a man and a woman \u2013 entered a retail business on Tyrrell Street, Wallsend.<\/p>\n
Police have been told the woman approached an employee at the front counter, while the man looked around the shop.<\/p>\n
The man is believed to have taken a mobile phone and watch, while the employee was away from the counter.<\/p>\n
The man then left the store with the woman.<\/p>\n
Officers attached to Newcastle City Local Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries.<\/p>\n
Today (Friday 16 October 2015), police released CCTV images of two people who may be able to assist with the investigation.<\/p>\n
The woman depicted in the image is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in her 30s with blonde shoulder length hair.<\/p>\n
The man depicted in the image is described as being of Aboriginal\/Torres Strait Islander appearance, with a thin to medium build and a beard, wearing a black Adidas jumper, jeans and a baseball cap.<\/p>\n
