<\/b>Detectives investigating an alleged home invasion at Armidale last month have arrested and charged a man.<\/p>\n
On Saturday 5 September 2015, four males allegedly forced entry to a home on McDonald Drive armed with firearms.<\/p>\n
The group allegedly threatened the occupants \u2013 a man and woman who were at home with their infant child \u2013 and demanded cash.<\/p>\n
They fled with money and jewellery.<\/p>\n
Police were alerted and officers from New England Local Area Command attended and commenced inquiries as part of Strike Force Inga.<\/p>\n
Following extensive inquiries, a 20-year-old man was arrested at a home on Drummond Avenue at Armidale just before 6am (Wednesday 14 October 2015).<\/p>\n
He was taken to Armidale Police Station where he was charged with being armed with a dangerous weapon, as well as an outstanding arrest warrant, and appeared at Armidale Local Court.<\/p>\n
He was refused bail to re-appear in Armidale Local Court on 19 October 2015.<\/p>\n
