<\/b>A woman has been charged after the death of her mother at Redhead, in the Lake Macquarie area.<\/p>\n
Just before 6.30pm yesterday (Saturday 10 October 2015), police were called to a home on Kalaroo Road, following reports a woman had been stabbed.<\/p>\n
Officers from Lake Macquarie Local Area Command attended and found the body of a 73-year-old woman with a number of stab wounds.<\/p>\n
The woman\u2019s 36-year-old daughter was arrested at the home and taken to Charlestown Police Station.<\/p>\n
Police have charged the woman with murder; use offensive weapon with intent to commit indictable offence; and take \/detain person with intent to obtain advantage cause actual bodily harm.<\/p>\n
The woman has been refused bail to appear in Newcastle Local Court today (Sunday 11 October 2015).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
