<\/b>Police are appealing for information following the attempted armed robbery of a delivery driver in Armidale yesterday.<\/p>\n
About 8pm (Wednesday 30 September 2015), a 43-year-old man was delivering a food order to a home on Bain Crescent.<\/p>\n
The delivery man was approached by a male on the driveway and then directed towards the house.<\/p>\n
The delivery man was grabbed from behind by the male and told not to move. Three other males then approached the man, one of which was carrying a large piece of timber.<\/p>\n
The delivery man was able to struggle free and ran from the males who were last seen running east towards McIntosh Street and into bushland.<\/p>\n
Armidale Police were notified of the incident and commenced an investigation. A number of items were secured at the scene for forensic examination.<\/p>\n
As inquiries continue, police would like to speak to four males who may be able to assist them.<\/p>\n
They are all described as being between 140 to 170 cm tall with thin builds and about 12 to 15 years old.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
