<\/b>Police have charged a man, and a woman remains in a critical condition, following a two-vehicle crash in Toronto last night.<\/p>\n
Just after 7pm (Saturday 5 September 2015), a 37-year-old Kilaben Bay man was driving a Holden Colorado utility south along Cary Street.<\/p>\n
Upon reaching the intersection of James Street, he attempted to make a right turn.<\/p>\n
At the same time, a 23-year-old Edgeworth woman was riding a scooter north along Cary Street, when the two vehicles collided.<\/p>\n
Emergency services were called and the woman was treated at the scene by Ambulance Paramedics, before being taken to John Hunter Hospital, where she remains in a critical condition.<\/p>\n
The man was breath tested at the scene, which allegedly returned a positive result.<\/p>\n
He was arrested and taken to Toronto Police Station, where a subsequent breath analysis returned a reading of 0.117. A further search of the man resulted in cannabis allegedly being located.<\/p>\n
The man has been charged with dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, negligent driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, mid-range PCA, and possess prohibited drug.<\/p>\n
