<\/b>A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner following a fatal single-vehicle crash at Rye Park, near Yass last night.<\/p>\n
About 3.30pm (Saturday 22 August 2015), emergency services were called to Dalton Road, following reports of a crash.<\/p>\n
Initial investigations suggest a Toyota Hilux was travelling north on Dalton Road, 10 km south-east of Rye Park, before it left the roadway, flipped, and crashed into trees.<\/p>\n
The passenger of the car, an 11-year-old girl, suffered critical injuries and died at the scene.
\nThe driver, a 52-year-old man, was treated at the scene by Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to Canberra Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n
