A woman has been critically injured after being hit by a car in the Newcastle suburb of Lambton.<\/p>\n
Emergency services were called to a car park in Charlton Street about 4.20pm yesterday (Tuesday 21 July 2015).<\/p>\n
Police have been told a 61-year-old woman was standing behind a car when it reversed and struck her, knocking her to ground.<\/p>\n
The woman was transported by ambulance to John Hunter Hospital, where she is being treated for a serious head injury. She is reported to be in a critical condition.<\/p>\n
