<\/b>A man and woman will appear in court today (Wednesday 17 June 2015), for several firearm offences following an alleged domestic-related incident in Albury yesterday.<\/p>\n
About 2.30pm (Tuesday 16 June 2015), police responded to an alleged domestic-related incident at Hume Street.<\/p>\n
Police received information that a firearm was allegedly produced during the incident.<\/p>\n
Following a search of the premises, officers allegedly located an unsecured shotgun and ammunition.<\/p>\n
A 51-year-old woman and a 44-year-old man were arrested at the scene and taken to Albury Police Station.<\/p>\n
The woman was charged with five offences:<\/p>\n
– Possess unauthorised prohibited firearm;<\/p>\n
– Not keep firearm safely \u2013 prohibited firearm;<\/p>\n
– Common assault;<\/p>\n
– Possess ammunition without holding licence;<\/p>\n
– Use offensive weapon with intent to commit indictable offence.<\/p>\n
The man was charged with:<\/p>\n
– Common assault \u2013 DV;<\/p>\n
– Possess unauthorised prohibited firearm;<\/p>\n
– Dispose stolen property.<\/p>\n
