About 12:50am today (Saturday), officers attached Highway Patrol officers allegedly observed an on-coming vehicle travelling at high speed in a 110km\/h zone on the Hume Highway at Woomargama, south of Holbrook.<\/p>\n
Police followed the vehicle, which was displaying red P1 P-plates, and allegedly detected the car on radar travelling at 146km\/h.<\/p>\n
The vehicle was stopped and the driver provided police with a current P1 driver\u2019s licence, which is restricted to 90km\/h.<\/p>\n
The driver was booked for exceed speed over 45km\/h and his licence immediately suspended for six months.<\/p>\n
The number plates were not confiscated because the vehicle wasn\u2019t owned by the driver, police say.<\/p>\n
