<\/b>Police are appealing for information as they investigate the sexual assault of a teenage girl in Albury last night.<\/p>\n
Police have been told about 6.20pm (Tuesday 28 April 2015), a 17-year-old girl was walking across Dean Street Footbridge when three males unknown to her began following her.<\/p>\n
Two of the males allegedly took hold of the girl and took her into a nearby bush, when one of the males produced a knife and threatened her, before sexually assaulting her.<\/p>\n
The males fled the scene along Dean Street and the teenager contacted police. Ambulance Paramedics assessed her at the scene and she was taken to hospital.<\/p>\n
Officers attached to Albury Local Area Command attended and have established a crime scene.<\/p>\n
As they continue their investigations, police would like to speak to anyone who witnesses suspicious activity in the area at the time of the incident.<\/p>\n
