Several Australian war service medals stolen from a house in Lake Macquarie have been recovered by police.<\/p>\n
On Tuesday 24 November 2015, the war medals were stolen from a house in Tingira Heights following a break and enter at the location.<\/p>\n
Police from Lake Macquarie Special Operations Group attended and commenced an investigation.<\/p>\n
As a result of this investigation, police were able to locate all of the medals which include:<\/p>\n
– One British War Medal<\/p>\n
– Two sets of World War Two Medals 1939 \u2013 1945<\/p>\n
– Two sets of Australia Service Medal 1939\u20131945<\/p>\n
– One Z Special Commando Unit lapel badge<\/p>\n
– One Pacific Star<\/p>\n
– One defence Medal (United Kingdom)<\/p>\n
– One 1939\u201345 Star<\/p>\n
– One Australian Active Service Medal 1945\u20131975<\/p>\n
Police from Lake Macquarie Special Operations Group will be returning the medals to their owner\u2019s family on Friday 27 March 2015 at Swansea Police Station.<\/p>\n
