Police investigating the death of a man in Newcastle on the weekend are appealing for CCTV footage from local businesses.
\nJust after 3am on Saturday 7 March 2015, officers attached the Newcastle City Local Area Command were called to a home on Dickson Street, following reports of a man being injured.<\/p>\n
On arrival, police located a man suffering a gunshot wound. He was unable to be revived at the scene.<\/p>\n
A crime scene was established and officers conducted an extensive canvass of the area.<\/p>\n
Police attached to the State Crime Command\u2019s Homicide Squad are assisting local police with investigations.<\/p>\n
Detectives are appealing to any businesses or residents within 3km of Dickson Street which may have CCTV capabilities to call Newcastle Police or Crime Stoppers.
