A man in his 40s is in a critical condition at the Canberra Hospital after a motorbike crash on the Hume Highway near Goulburn, one of a number of crashes in the region on Friday morning.<\/p>\n
About 7.50am, NSW Ambulance received reports the man had suffered a critical leg injury from the highway crash.<\/p>\n
The highway was closed in a northbound direction while the man was airlifted to hospital by the Snowy Hydro SouthCare rescue helicopter.<\/p>\n
The ambulance also received reports at 9.15am of a single-car crash at Bevendale Road, Dalton near Gunning involving two adults and as many as five children.<\/p>\n
Paramedics were still responding as of 10.10am.<\/p>\n
Traffic was heavy on the Cotter Road on Friday morning after a two-car crash, turned into a six-car pile-up between the Tuggeranong Parkway and the McCulloch Street intersection at 8.05am.<\/p>\n
There was also a two-car crash near the Flemington Road exit onto the Federal Highway outside EPIC, which held up traffic coming through from Gungahlin.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
