A 19-year-old man has been charged after allegedly shooting a man in the leg in the state\u2019s north last month.<\/p>\n
Emergency services were called to Donnelly Street at Armidale just before midnight, Sunday 14 December 2014, where they found a man with a gunshot wound to his left thigh.<\/p>\n
The 35-year-old man was taken to Armidale Hospital; however, he discharged himself a short time later.<\/p>\n
Detectives from New England Local Area Command established a crime scene on Donnelly Street and commenced inquiries. Investigators were told the injured man had approached a green Ford Falcon, parked in the street, before he was allegedly fired upon.<\/p>\n
Just before 3pm yesterday (Thursday, 8 January 2015) police investigations led to the arrest of a 19-year-old Armidale man inside a unit on Morehead Street, Redfern.<\/p>\n
He was taken to Redfern Police Station and charged with discharge firearm with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.<\/p>\n
