The Hume Highway is closed south-bound near Holbrook after a crash between two trucks overnight.<\/p>\n
About 12.50am (Thursday 6 November 2014), a B-double was travelling south on the Hume Highay, four kilometres north of Holbrook.<\/p>\n
Police have been told the B-double clipped the rear of a semi-trailer parked on the side of the highway.<\/p>\n
Both vehicles caught alight and were destroyed by fire.<\/p>\n
The B-double driver, a 42-year-old man, was not injured. A breath-test performed at the scene returned a negative result.<\/p>\n
The driver of the semi-trailer, a 38-year-old man, was taken to Holbrook Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, and mandatory blood and urine testing.<\/p>\n
Investigations into the crash are continuing.<\/p>\n
South-bound lanes of the highway are expected to be closed until early this afternoon, as the trucks and their cargo \u2013 including glue and floor boards \u2013 are removed from the scene.<\/p>\n
