City Recital Hall becomes a Parisian Salon to celebrate Bastille Day<\/h4>\n

Join classical superstars, soprano Yvonne Kenny<\/strong><\/a>, flautist Jane Rutter<\/strong><\/a>, accordionist Marcello Maio<\/strong> <\/a>and baritone Andrew Jones<\/strong><\/a>. The stellar lineup will be accompanied by a small chamber ensemble including: Owen Torr on harp an Vincent Colagiuri on piano performing Parisian classical arias, Chansons and delicious salon pieces.<\/p>\n

La R\u00eavolution<\/strong> will take you on a journey to the heart of the French Romantic Operatic era. To the passionate world of the Parisian salons and the languid, joyous insouciance of French Impressionism.<\/p>\n

Artistic director, Jane Rutter has created a seductive program which includes a wonderful selection of works including; Ravel’s La Fl\u00fbte Enchant\u00e9e<\/em>, Piece en Forme de Habanera <\/em>and Chansons \u00e0 Boire<\/em>, Faur\u00e9\u2019s Sicilienne <\/em>and Apr\u00e8s un R\u00eave<\/em>, Debussy\u2019s Claire de Lune<\/em>, Cole Porter\u2019s So In Love<\/em> and Eric Satie’s classical Parisian cabaret favourite La Diva de l\u2019Empire<\/em>. With excerpts from Bizet’s Carmen <\/em>and Les Pecheurs de Perle<\/em>, and musical d\u00e9lices by Hahn, Messager, Chausson, Poulenc, Offenbach, and Saint-Sa\u00ebns. Bastille Day never looked this good!<\/p>\n
