Paxahau Events, producers of the annual <\/span>Movement Electronic Music Festival<\/em> is pleased to announce another record year for the 2014 event, which took place Memorial Day weekend, May 24-26 inside Detroit\u2019s Hart Plaza. The ninth edition of the festival attracted over 107,000 attendees from all parts of the world and has been widely regaled by attendees and media alike as the best festival for music lovers in America.<\/span><\/div>\n

Movement returns to Hart Plaza next Memorial Day Weekend; May 23, 24 & 25, 2015.<\/p>\n

Movement 2014 featured over 130 acts, including upfront performances by Claude von Stroke<\/strong>, Richie Hawtin<\/strong>, Action Bronson<\/strong>, Tiga<\/strong>, Underground Resistance<\/strong>, Just Blaze<\/strong> and Marco Carola<\/strong>, just to name a few.<\/p>\n

The Red Bull Music Academy<\/em><\/strong> stage featured a handful of breakout stars and international heavyweights, including a special b2b closing set on Monday night by Desolat boss, Loco Dice<\/strong> and Intec Records chief, Carl Cox<\/strong>. Other notable performances include, RBMA alums Nightwave<\/strong> and Shadowbox<\/strong> as well as Jamie Jones<\/strong>, John Digweed<\/strong>, Seth Troxler<\/strong> and Detroit\u2019s very own, Carl Craig<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Fans were caught grooving on the Beatport<\/em><\/strong> stage all weekend long to the sounds of Pete Tong<\/strong>, The Martinez Brothers<\/strong>, Heidi<\/strong>, Justin Martin<\/strong>, DJ Sneak<\/strong>, Green Velvet<\/strong> and many more. Dirtybird queen and Movement veteran, J.Phlip<\/strong> closed out Monday night with bang as she was called on to replace headliner, Boys Noize. *Side note: J.Phlip replaced Boys Noize due to last minute cancellation by his camp.<\/p>\n

All eyes and ears were at the Moog Stage<\/em><\/strong> as Baauer<\/strong>, DJ Snake<\/strong>, Flosstradamus<\/strong>, Escort<\/strong>, Bonobo<\/strong>, Ryan Hemsworth<\/strong> and Julio Bashmore<\/strong> just to name a few, energized a packed crowd all weekend long.<\/p>\n

The Made in Detroit<\/em><\/strong> stage was packed with rising local stars and Detroit icons, such as Stacey Pullen<\/strong>, Mike Huckaby<\/strong>, Terrence Dixon<\/strong>, Golf Clap<\/strong>, Gabi<\/strong> and many more. Kevin Saunderson\u2019s ORIGINS<\/em> showcase featured powerhouse performances by Exhale<\/strong>, Eddie Fowlkes<\/strong> and the techno legend himself, Kevin Saunderson<\/strong> featuring Seth Troxler<\/strong> for an unforgettable b2b set.<\/p>\n

Jeff Mills<\/strong>\u2019 three-hour long set was one of the most notable highlights on the techno-centric Underground Stage<\/em><\/strong>. Speedy J and Lucy performed together as Zeitgeber<\/strong> for the first time in North America.<\/p>\n

New this year was the Ford and Sennheiser Silent Disco<\/strong> stage, which gave those who joined in a very personal festival within a festival<\/em> experience!
