Fitzmaurice and Baylis Street Walking Tours<\/span><\/h3>\n

\nThe Museum of the Riverina and Charles Sturt University Regional Archives invite you to take a walk with us\u00a0downtown as we explore the many layers of history in Wagga Wagga’s former and current main streets.<\/h4>\n

\nCurator and historian, Dr Nancy Blacklow has many stories to tell as she leads two distinct walking expeditions:<\/p>\n

1. Fitzmaurice Street: Listen to tales of the early days of Wagga, from the first banks and police quarters to the history of Chinese settlement in the area. With such a deep history, there are many fascinating stories to hear on this tour.<\/p>\n

2. Baylis Street: This tour will explore some of the 20th century developments of the city, examining buildings and businesses that used to, and still thrive and flourish in the main street of Wagga Wagga.<\/h3>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

The first Fitzmaurice Street \u00a0on Monday 17 March at 5:30pm is booked out. It\u00a0will be repeated at 8am on Tuesday 18 March and bookings are still available for this walk.<\/p>\n

The Baylis Street tour will take place at 5:30pm on Wednesday 19 March and will be repeated at 8am on Thursday 20 March.<\/p>\n

Each tour has a duration of two hours\u00a0and participants are requested to wear comfortable walking shoes.<\/p>\n
